A hand-knitted cardigan in super-bulky roving, colour-blocked in pink, yellow, blue, orange and pale lilac, cropped at the waist with balloon sleeves and an open front.
Giant hand-knit stitches, open front, no two sides alike
- Super-bulky yarn: the roving is thick enough that a sleeve is only five or six stitches across.
- Colour-block panels: pink, yellow, blue, orange and pale lilac sit in blocks that differ from one side to the other.
- Leaf motifs: contrasting strokes are worked over the joins where two colours meet.
- Balloon sleeves: full through the upper arm, drawn in at a narrow cuff.
- Open front: no buttons and no zip, so it layers over a tee or a shirt.
Every piece is knitted by hand, so the blocks fall a little differently on each one. The front has no fastening and hangs open. The stitches are large and leave visible gaps, so wear a top underneath. At about 680 g it carries real weight for a cardigan.
