A thickened padded winter jacket with a tall stand collar, a two-way zip, zip pockets and elasticated cuffs and hem, in 100% polyester.
Stand collar, two-way zip, pockets that close
- Padded stand collar: tall enough to sit against the jaw when the zip is right up, with no hood to flatten under a bag strap.
- Two-way zip: a full-length centre-front zip with a pull at each end, behind an inner wind placket.
- Zip pockets: two on the outside at the hip, plus a zipped pocket inside the right front.
- Elasticated cuffs and hem: gathered bands at both wrists and around the hem, so wind does not get up the sleeves.
- Water-repellent shell: the maker finishes the outer fabric to bead off light rain and cut the wind.
The cut is loose and the shoulder seam sits well down the arm, so a size S already measures 115 cm around the chest and the sleeve is long enough to cover a jumper. Shell, lining and padding are all polyester, which means a machine-friendly jacket rather than a down one. There is no hood, and the colour is solid with no print or contrast panel.
